In poker, five cards are compared and calculated using a typical ranking system. The ranking of the cards from highest to lowest is straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair and high cards.
A straight flush contains five cards in sequence and of the same suit. An ace-high straight flush such as A? K? Q? J? 10? is known as a royal flush and has the highest rank. Secondly, four of a kind, or a quad, is a poker hand which contains four cards of one rank, and an unmatched card of another rank. A full house contains three matching cards of one rank and two matching cards of another rank. It is also known as a full boat. A flush includes five cards of the same suit but not in rank sequence. A straight consists of five cards of sequential rank but they incorporate more than one suit. Three of a kind contains three cards of the same rank and two unmatched cards. A two pair has two cards of the same rank and two cards of another rank and another unmatched card. One pair consists of two cards of the same rank and three other unmatched cards. Lastly, a high card or a no-pair hand is a one wherein no two cards have the same rank and the five cards are not in sequence or of the same suit.

In playing poker, for the newbies, a very frustrating part is discerning if this hand is stronger than this or that. Here is the group of the stronger sets, the winning poker hands.
Royal Flush- sequence from ten to Ace, the same suit, this is the King of all winning poker hands. Straight flush is a sequence of same suit, and should be consecutive. The winner would be decided by the card of the high end.
4 of a Kind: simple enough, all 4 of similar worth, like four Queens. Then, the full house, it is still one of the winning poker hands and one of the more prevalent from the elite set. This is a 3 of a kind coupled with any pair, if it's a tie, this is decided by the trio.
Flush- 5 cards belonging to a similar suit, not necessarily in order, the high card would decide in case two players get a flush in the course of the game.
When the UIGEA got signed into law, my friend (who at that time held three online accounts) cursed and fumed as though his daughter was kidnapped, his company went bankrupt, and his Mercedez hit a tree stump all at the same time. Well, I fumed too, but I got over it after just a week. That is not to say I will keep my mouth shut when the UIGEA comes up in party conversations.
Anyway, Sportsbook poker is one safe site, and it actually is at the other end of the spectrum, ONLY US players are going to be admitted to it. If you are Russian and you want to complain, please, don't b#$c at me, I'm not part of that entity.
Anyway, this is truly a real player poker room US, and not just over the mentioned fact on their patrons' composition. Americans as a whole love Texas Holdem, and this site offers many variations like Omaha, Seven Card Stud, and the Seven card Stud HL. This player poker room (US) offers NL, PL and Fixed limit games, so you could just go and take your pick.
There, so if you are American and you are still at a loss how to play online poker now that the UIGEA refuses to die, breathe easy, Sportsbook Poker is here.
Do not go to the other extreme like my friend Christopher did. When he was very new in the online poker scene, we told him all about free poker rooms and the games. He loved it so much that after more than a year of patronizing half a dozen rooms, he still would not play at the real-cash games. NO, it's not that he could not afford it, he has a job, and even if he gets fired from his 8 to 5 job, his wife is one of Israel's most famous doctors.
Anyway, let me say this, you as the gambler should have the drive to improve, just playing per se should not be your objective. Well, playing at the free poker rooms might be meaningless at first impressions, but really, they are not. Winning a thousand bucks (or losing) worth of play chips might be meaningless, but if you aim to improve your poker techniques, there is something to be said for it.
Fact is, techniques wise, my friend Christopher is already a strong one, he could very well buy in for THIS YEAR'S WSOP if he wishes, but he will not. That would take him away from his daily playing at the free poker rooms.
Why is it important for poker enthusiasts to get to know online poker room ratings? Number one, they give us (well, yes, we're the poker enthusiasts I'm referring to) a kind of bird's eye view on the various poker rooms available right now over the Internet. Number two, these online poker room ratings let us know how each poker room fares in the online poker gaming industry.
What does it exactly benefit us when we get a head full of information on the poker gaming rooms on the Internet and how they rate in the industry? For one, it's just all about your safety and assurance. Reputation is always a good basis in finding out if a site's really going to be good for you or not. So, if you want to make sure that you'll really be getting value out of your time, money, and effort, check out reviews and ratings on online poker room review sites.
How are online poker rooms rated? Usually, poker room review sites present the various poker rooms that visitors are to rate using a criteria that the site developers have set. For example, you rate Ultimate Bet, Full Tilt, Party Poker, or Bodog Poker as per the number of times you play on that room, how you find the games, and how you could rate the software.
Introducing free poker games! I'm a sucker for games like these. There is no need for you to pay just to be able to play a poker game. And, you don't pay extra charges for playing a poker game on these sites (save, of course, payment medium services, which, by the way, you don't hand over to the site where you'll be playing the game). No wonder free poker games are such a big hit.
Why are free poker games free? That might be a bit confusing, but I'm sure you understand my question. Well, the most common reason why free poker games are free is that they usually require no sign up prior to playing the game. What has signing up got to do with getting to play a poker game for free? You see, it is with signing up that you usually incur fees. Though there may be features in "paying" games that free poker games do not have, generally, free poker games offer just the same quality and fun you get from "paying" games.
What do you need to have to be able to play free poker games? Most of the time, all you have to have is compliance with the site's system requirements.
I was at a friend's home poker party and I was mesmerized by the beauty of his poker tables. That makes me want to buy my own, too. Ever since the poker bug hit my group of friends by storm, I've been so incredibly hooked that if I only have the choice, I'll have an entire balcony or a yard alloted to poker and stud it with various tables.
How to zero in the best among the best poker tables? Durability and the ability to resist considerable wear and tear are important considerations. Poker tables come in either round or oblong shapes. You have the freedom to choose which style suits you best, as long as you bear in mind how many players you intend to seat on that table and how comfortable they should be. Now if a solid poker table is either too bulky or too expensive for you or you just don't have the space for it, you can opt for a poker table top. It's very convenient because all you have to do is put it on top of another table and presto!
Just a segue: I just got a valuable winning tip that I'd like to share with you guys. When you fight in a poker match, make sure you seat to the right of submissive or restricted players. I'm not sure if it works, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try.

Here's yet another interesting story: there was once a destitute man who has a hot and vain chic for a wife. He wonders how his wife manages to get really expensive diamonds, sleek fur coats, and elegant cars despite their meager income. His wife's consistent answer? She got it out of winning at poker.

I totally dig casinos. The games they offer are the best escape from the hassles and bustles of life. But choosing which among the various games that casinos offer can be a virtual pain in the neck.
Are you a first time casino enthusiast? If so, then I would like to recommend this: casino poker. Yes, it's just like the classic poker; the only difference is, you get to play it at online casinos and not in your homes as you might have been used to. That's why casino enthusiasts made casino poker one of the ten casino bets of choice.
When you play casino poker, aptitude and adeptness come into play, but there are some things you need to remember. For one, remember that unlike playing at home, you've got other people around the poker room who don't know you and would also like to have the time of their lives. So, try to be more discreet and practice a little finesse in your actions. Like, you should only bet when it's your turn, and always watch over your cards.
50 Play Deuces and Joker Video Poker has taken the popular 10 Play Power Poker Video Poker concept to higher levels of excitement and reward, offering you a smooth-running game that plays 50 hands at a time, every hand dealt from a separate and independent deck.
In Deuces and Joker every hand is dealt from a separate and independent deck of 53 cards instead of the normal 52 cards. The Deuces are cards with a face value of 2. When a Deuces or Joker card is dealt, a suit and denotation are automatically assigned to the card giving the player the highest possible payout for the hand.
Deuces and Joker 50 Play Power Video Poker operates on the peerless Viper software platform, where in addition to autohold, the analyser tables give guidance on current odds and cover permutations to help gamblers make the right decision - a valuable player tool that enables faster and more accurate play. And you can set up your own "stop" budgets by win amount, lose amount or credit balance. With razor sharp, clean and lean graphics allied to generous pay tables, it is likely that this new 50 Play game will feature high on the play lists of most Video Poker fans.
50 Play Deuces and Joker Video Poker offers high value jackpots of 10 000 coins (the secondary jackpot is worth 4 000 coins) and accepts 1 to 5 coins per hand in denominations ranging from 0.1 to 0.25. Easy to use, and with high average percentage payouts, this game is a surefire winner!
