Poker Run

A poker run is an organized race over air, land or sea using some transportation mode where participants race from place to place picking up playing cards in the hopes of assembling the best poker hand at the end of the run.

Players travel on a designated route and have to draw poker cards at each designated stops along the race route, and usually require a registration fee that goes towards event costs and fund-raising for charity.

Moreover, each participant will be responsible to maintain the integrity of their cards during the run. Prizes should be awarded for the winning poker hands. Rules and specifics can vary across events and conditions.

The idea is to have fun, and not take the "competition" too seriously. Ensure that plans for bad weather and safety are in place, and choose judges familiar with hand ranks in poker to ensure smooth racing and a good time for all involved.
